I recently launched Stool Sample Records and re-released The Mentors "You Axed For It!" on limited edition color wax (500 pressed)! This is the first time the album has been available on vinyl in 35 years. We pressed the 500 on pink "beef curtain" vinyl and included a bonus 7" of "Nitrous Oxide b/w "Animal". The bonus 7" is on black wax.

We also released a picyure sleeve 7" of two "basement" songs ("Oblivion Train b/w Cornshucker") that were recorded circa 1976 in the Steve Broy's basement. Again, only 500 were pressed on green opaque vinyl. These recordings have never been heard by the public. The sound is primitive, but the cohesiveness of the boys is very apparent despite the fact that they are teenagers at the time.
